	Other Names: Blue Crane. Size: 66cm First recorded as breeding in New Zealand in 1941 it is now the most common heron here. Blue-grey plumage, white face, pale legs.


	The Heron flies with its neck in a S shape and with deliberate downstrokes of its wings.
